Mzansibet Casino Review 2026: Ratings, Bonuses & Verdict

Is Mzansibet Casino legit in South Africa? Yes, Mzansibet is licensed, and its casino runs on the same operator, account and wallet as its sportsbook. The operator is SMS2Bet Betting Services (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2009/007749/07, which holds a bookmaker licence from the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board. The site footer and the National Gambling Board’s Verified Operators portal both show licence number 10144175-017. Like other South African operators, its casino runs under that bookmaker licence, and we did not find a document that spells out casino coverage, so we treat that point as unconfirmed. The licence is not the main concern here: independent reputation is sharply divided, with strong Trustpilot reviews and a weak Hellopeter profile, and the welcome package carries 40x wagering with a short validity period, both explained below.

Our checks covered a registered Mzansibet account (security settings, responsible gambling controls, cashier method lists, promotions, and the slots and live casino lobbies), the casino welcome bonus terms, the general bonus terms, the Aviator, loyalty, tournaments, help centre and responsible gambling pages on the games site, a live chat session, a PDF copy of Mzansibet’s terms, the National Gambling Board portal, and the Trustpilot and Hellopeter profiles. This review covers the Mzansibet Casino only, see our Mzansibet Sportsbook Review for sportsbook scoring. Mzansibet Casino is the games side of a South African betting site operated by SMS2Bet Betting Services (Pty) Ltd under a Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board bookmaker licence. The lobby offers slots, live games and Aviator from 11 providers, led by Evolution and Pragmatic Play, and a five deposit welcome package worth up to R21,000 plus 300 bonus spins. In our 10-point review it scored best for Licensing & Legal Transparency, followed by Safety & Security, Deposits and Responsible Gambling Tools, where authenticator app two factor authentication, a 15 option cashier and in account limits that explicitly cover the casino stood out. Product Quality scores 7.0 on the strength of a deep live casino and well known slot studios. Its weakest area is Brand Trust & Reputation, where a 4.6 Trustpilot score sits against a 2 out of 10 TrustIndex on Hellopeter, followed by Bonus Fairness, Withdrawals and Mobile at 6.0. The welcome bonus carries 40x wagering on the bonus, a 7 day validity and a R100 maximum bet, Mzansibet’s documents give three different withdrawal timeframes, and the casino is available on a phone only through the mobile browser, not in an app. We opened an account to check the settings, limits, lobbies and cashier and held one live chat, but have not deposited, played or tested a payout, so several categories are held back by our evidence ceiling.

Mzansibet Casino Review: Strengths & Good to Know

Good to Know

  • Hellopeter shows a TrustIndex of 2 out of 10 from 15 recent reviews, 14 of them 1 star, mostly about withdrawals and locked accounts
  • The welcome bonus carries 40x wagering on the bonus amount, only 7 days of validity and a R100 maximum bet while wagering, and winnings from deposit bonuses and bonus spins are capped at R100,000
  • Game contributions differ between documents: the welcome terms give roulette 25%, card games 10%, poker, casual and crash games 5%, while the general bonus terms give blackjack 10%, baccarat 0% and game shows 10%
  • Withdrawal timing differs across Mzansibet’s own documents: 1 to 3 business days in the FAQ, up to 5 in a PDF copy of the terms and up to 7 in the online terms, and a chat agent said 1 day. We have not tested a payout
  • Every cash deposit must be turned over once before the related funds can be withdrawn, and the PDF terms add a charge of 5% (up to R90) if a deposit was not fully wagered
  • The bonus terms list many prohibited play styles, including betting on high RTP games and reducing stakes by more than 80% after a big win, and allow Mzansibet to cancel winnings it believes were obtained that way
  • The terms quote licence numbers that do not match the footer and portal: 10144175-016 online and 10186171-007 in a PDF copy
  • We could not obtain a total game count, and the casino is available on a phone only through the mobile browser, with no casino app

Is Mzansibet Casino Licensed in South Africa?

8.0 / 10
In short: The site footer and the National Gambling Board portal agree on Western Cape bookmaker licence 10144175-017, which the footer says was first issued in January 2014. Two versions of Mzansibet’s terms quote different licence numbers, and no document we read spells out casino coverage, which keeps the score at Strong rather than Excellent.

Mzansibet is operated by SMS2Bet Betting Services (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2009/007749/07. The site footer says the company, trading as Mzansibet, is licensed and regulated by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board (WCGRB) and gives Bookmaker Licence Number 10144175-017, first issued in January 2014. The About page also says Mzansibet is licensed and regulated by the WCGRB.

We searched the National Gambling Board (NGB) Verified Operators portal, whose list was last updated on 4 September 2026. It lists SMS2Bet Betting Services (Pty) Ltd as a Bookmaker in the Western Cape under licence number 10144175-017, at Office 4A and 4B, Knowledge Park III, 2 Heron Crescent, Century City. The company, regulator and licence number therefore match the footer.

The terms are less consistent. The online terms, shown as version 1.0 and updated on 19 December 2024, quote licence number 10144175-016. A PDF copy of the terms, headed version 1.0 and updated on 30 July 2024, quotes a third number, 10186171-007. Both give a registered office at 360 Business Park, 3rd Floor, 8 Wessex Street, Paarden Eiland, Cape Town, which is not the Century City address on the portal. We read the footer and portal as the current licence and the terms as outdated, but Mzansibet should correct them, and neither source explains the difference. In live chat, the agent answered our licence question by quoting 10144175-016 from the Terms and Conditions page and did not address the footer number. We did not find a licence certificate published on the site.

The licence on the footer and portal is a bookmaker licence. Like other South African operators, Mzansibet runs its casino under that bookmaker licence, and none of the sources we read mentions casino games separately, so casino coverage is unconfirmed rather than disproved. The PDF terms do refer to the casino, for example in the loss limit wording, which shows that Mzansibet treats casino play as part of the same licensed service. We would like to see Mzansibet publish its licence certificate with the conditions that apply to the casino.

Mzansibet receives 8.0/10 for Licensing & Legal Transparency. The legal company, registration number and regulator are disclosed, and the licence number in the footer is confirmed on the regulator’s portal. It stays at 8.0 rather than higher because two versions of the terms quote other licence numbers, the addresses differ, no certificate is published and casino coverage is not spelled out. Sportsbook and casino share one operator and one licence, so this score matches our sportsbook review.

2

Is Mzansibet Casino Trustworthy? Reputation and Customer Feedback

5.5 / 10
In short: Trustpilot is very positive and Hellopeter is very negative, and both are one sided. Because the Hellopeter complaints are about withdrawals and locked accounts, which matter most to players, we weigh them heavily and score this category Poor until the picture is clearer.

Mzansibet’s About page calls it South Africa’s newest online betting platform and says it has “30+ years of experience from seasoned veterans” behind it. We could not verify that claim. The operating company’s registration number points to a company registered in 2009 and the footer says its bookmaker licence was first issued in January 2014, but we found no independent record of how long the Mzansibet brand has operated.

On Trustpilot, Mzansibet shows 4.6 out of 5 from 603 reviews, and the profile is claimed. Recent reviews praise the game variety and mention bonus spin wins, which is relevant to the casino. Trustpilot’s own panel notes that the company has no recent history of inviting reviews and has not replied to negative reviews.

On Hellopeter, the picture is the opposite. Mzansibet shows a TrustIndex of 2 out of 10 and an NPS of minus 100 from 15 reviews in the last 12 months, 14 of them 1 star. The profile is unclaimed and none of the reviews has a reply. The recurring themes are a withdrawal requested on 30 September that had not been processed on 1 October, funds locked in an account since April, a withdrawal cancelled without notice pending enhanced verification, payouts taking up to 7 days, confusing bonus terms and unhelpful support. The one positive review also mentions payment delays.

Fifteen reviews is a small sample, and review platforms attract people with complaints, so we do not treat Hellopeter as the full story. But the complaints match the slow withdrawal timeline allowed in Mzansibet’s own terms, and the operator does not appear to be responding publicly. For a casino, the complaints about confusing bonus terms matter too, because the welcome package has many conditions. Trustpilot’s large positive sample counts in Mzansibet’s favour but does not erase a specific, repeated payout complaint.

Mzansibet receives 5.5/10 for Brand Trust & Reputation. The strong Trustpilot score and a registered South African company keep it out of the Critical band. The 2 out of 10 TrustIndex, the withdrawal complaint pattern and the lack of public replies keep it in Poor. Sportsbook and casino share one brand, so this score matches our sportsbook review, and we will revisit it when more independent evidence exists.

3

Is Mzansibet Casino Safe? Security and Account Protection

7.5 / 10
In short: Inside the account, Mzansibet offers two factor authentication through an authenticator app, a password change form and a session history, and it requires ID and proof of address. We did not complete the two factor setup, and the terms describe encryption in outdated wording.

Registration sends a verification code by SMS, and after registering players log in with either their cell phone number or their email address plus a password. Mzansibet’s FICA procedure asks for an identity document (a certified copy of an ID or a driver’s licence) and proof of residence, which must be a bank statement or utility bill not older than three months. Documents are uploaded on the Documents page of the profile or emailed to support. The terms allow Mzansibet to suspend an account until verification is complete and to carry out KYC checks on withdrawal requests. The casino welcome terms also say players are verified automatically through FICA at registration.

The Profile page has General, Verification and Security tabs. The Security tab offers two factor authentication with a code generating app such as Google Authenticator or Authy: the player scans a QR code and enters the code it produces. Next to it is a password change form, and below it a Session history list showing the IP address and country of account sessions. We did not complete the two factor setup, so we cannot say how it behaves at login, and we did not see login alert emails or a full device list. The casino lobby runs on a separate games address, games.mzansibet.com, and we did not test how sign in carries across the two.

Deposits follow a name matching rule. Card and bank deposits must come from an account in the player’s own name, and if the names do not match the funds are returned and the account is suspended until bank confirmation and ID are supplied.

A Privacy Policy, a Cookie Policy and a PAIA Manual are linked in the footer, although we did not open the PAIA PDF. The online terms say card payments run through Peach Payments and describe encryption as “Secure Socket Layer 3”. SSL 3.0 has been obsolete for years, so we read that as outdated wording rather than a technical finding. The games FAQ says the casino uses SSL technology and anti fraud techniques, and the site itself loads over a secure connection. We did not run any technical security audit. Game fairness is covered under Product Quality.

Mzansibet receives 7.5/10 for Safety & Security. Authenticator app two factor authentication, a session history, early identity checks, the name matching rule and published privacy documents give a solid baseline. It stops at 7.5 because we did not test the two factor login flow or run a technical audit, and the terms still contain outdated encryption wording. Sportsbook and casino share one account, so this score matches our sportsbook review.

4

Which Deposit Methods Does Mzansibet Casino Accept?

7.5 / 10
In short: The deposit screen inside the account lists 15 options, with minimums of R10 on easypay, R20 on vouchers and R50 on cards, wallets and EFT, and a R100,000 maximum shown for Capitec Pay. The casino welcome package needs a first deposit of at least R50. We did not make a deposit, and the public Payments page shows a shorter list.

The Quick Deposit screen in the account shows 15 payment tiles: Capitec Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay with Visa, Google Pay with Mastercard, Visa, Mastercard and Maestro cards, Ozow, easypay, OTT voucher, BluVoucher, 1Voucher (which appears on two tiles), two EFT tiles and a scan to pay option. The minimums shown are R10 for easypay, R20 for OTT voucher, BluVoucher and 1Voucher, and R50 for the rest. Capitec Pay shows a minimum of R50 and a maximum of R100,000, with quick amounts from R50 to R2,000. The screen also has a promo code field and an Activate Bonus switch. We saw a single wallet and cashier for the whole account, so the same deposit screen appears to serve casino and sportsbook.

For the casino welcome package, each of the five deposit bonuses has a promo code (WELCOME1 to WELCOME5) and the first deposit bonus needs at least R50. We did not test which bonus the Activate Bonus switch applies, so players who do not want a casino bonus should check what is attached before depositing.

The public Payments page is less complete. It lists nine methods, all marked as free and instant: BluVoucher (R20 to R5,000), easypay voucher (R10 to R1,000), EFT secure (R50 to R100,000), FNB (R50 to R3,000), Standard Bank (R50 to R3,000), OTT voucher (R20 to R3,000), SnapScan (R50 to R100,000), Zapper (R50 to R100,000) and 1Voucher (R50 to R3,000), and it shows no card or wallet option. The 1Voucher minimum is R50 there and R20 in the cashier. The FAQ says Mzansibet covers the recipient transaction costs, while a payment provider may charge a fee for sending money, and the terms add that direct bank transfers take 2 to 3 business days and cash deposits are accepted at Mzansibet’s discretion from R100.

Voucher funds carry a condition: the terms say the full voucher amount must be used for betting before winnings can be withdrawn, and vouchers cannot be redeemed or refunded for cash. Cash deposits generally must be turned over once before withdrawal, covered under Withdrawals.

Mzansibet receives 7.5/10 for Deposits & Payment Methods. A broad, modern set of local options, including Capitec Pay, wallets, cards, vouchers and EFT, with low entry points makes this a Good score. It is held at 7.5 because we did not complete a deposit, so processing speed and fees are untested, and the public Payments page still shows a shorter list than the cashier. Sportsbook and casino share one cashier, so this score matches our sportsbook review.

5

How Fast Are Mzansibet Casino Withdrawals?

6.0 / 10
In short: The account’s withdrawal screen lists seven methods with minimums of R100 or R300 and a R1,000,000 maximum on Capitec Pay, and Mzansibet charges no fee of its own. Its documents give three different timeframes (1 to 3, up to 5 and up to 7 business days), a live chat agent said the maximum is 1 day, every deposit must be turned over once, and bonus winnings are capped at R100,000. Hellopeter has a cluster of recent withdrawal complaints. We did not test a payout.

The FAQ says withdrawals typically appear in the bank account within 1 to 3 business days, and asks players who have not been paid after three business days to email support with their username, request date and amount. The minimum is usually R100 depending on the method, and the methods are EFT, bank transfers and Instant Money. Mzansibet does not charge a withdrawal fee, but any fee charged by the payment provider is passed on to the player. In live chat, the agent said a withdrawal takes at most 1 day, and that longer waits are usually about missing documents.

Inside the account, the Withdrawal tab of the Wallet lists seven methods. Capitec Pay, Ozow and two EFT tiles show a minimum of R100, while OTT voucher and two further tiles show R300. The Capitec Pay form shows a minimum of R100 and a maximum of R1,000,000 and asks for a bank account number and bank name before the Withdraw button is enabled.

The terms are less generous and not consistent. The online terms say withdrawal processing takes up to seven business days from the request, while a PDF copy of the terms, headed version 1.0 and updated on 30 July 2024, says up to five. That PDF also says that if a deposit has not been fully wagered, Mzansibet may charge 5% of the amount requested, up to a maximum of R90, and may hold the withdrawal until the player explains why the deposit was not played. In live chat, the agent first said there was no explicit 5% to R90 charge in the terms, then confirmed after we sent a screenshot of the clause that it is in the terms, and said that withdrawing before wagering the full deposit could be charged. Payouts go only to a South African bank account in rand, to the account the deposits came from and in the player’s own name. Mzansibet runs KYC checks on withdrawal requests, may review play for prohibited activity before paying and may withhold a payout if it decides prohibited activity took place.

Turnover is the condition players most often miss. Under the terms, cash deposits must be turned over once, meaning bets to the value of the deposit, before the funds connected to that deposit can be withdrawn, and the same applies to the total of several deposits. Mzansibet may reject a withdrawal if the requirement has not been met. The terms also allow an administration fee of R30 a month on an account that stays inactive for 12 consecutive months, and an account with no access for 30 months is closed, with the balance returned or, if the player cannot be found, donated to a charity working on gambling harm.

Casino bonuses add their own rules. When a player plays with bonus funds, winnings that are requested for withdrawal pass a check before payment, and Mzansibet may ask the player to confirm personal and payment details. Winnings from deposit bonuses and bonus spins are capped at R100,000, and the cap is not applied automatically: Mzansibet applies it retrospectively if winnings exceed it once wagering is complete. A player who asks to withdraw the deposit before meeting the wagering requirement forfeits the bonus and any winnings from it and receives the remaining funds, which is a fair way to leave a bonus but should be understood before claiming one.

The independent evidence points the same way as the longer timelines. Recent Hellopeter reviews describe a withdrawal not processed the day after the request, a withdrawal cancelled without notice pending enhanced verification, waits of up to 7 days and funds locked in an account since April. Trustpilot reviewers rarely discuss withdrawals, and one 5 star review says the wagering still has to be finished before the player can withdraw. We have not completed a withdrawal, so we cannot confirm actual payout speed.

Mzansibet receives 6.0/10 for Withdrawals & Payout Reliability. The absence of a Mzansibet fee, a visible method list and published minimums are positives. The conflicting timeframes across three documents and a fourth answer in chat, the turnover rule, the possible 5% charge, the bonus winnings cap and the complaint pattern keep it in Fair. Seeing the cashier does not show how fast or reliable payouts are, and this is a critical safeguard category, so we will revisit it first when a payout has been tested. Sportsbook and casino share one cashier and one payout process, so this score matches our sportsbook review.

6

Is the Mzansibet Casino Welcome Bonus Fair?

6.0 / 10
In short: The welcome package gives up to R21,000 and 300 bonus spins over five deposits, and the terms are detailed. But the bonus carries 40x wagering, expires after 7 days, has a R100 maximum bet, caps winnings at R100,000 and comes with a long list of prohibited play styles. The contribution percentages in the welcome terms and the general bonus terms also differ.

The casino welcome package is advertised as “Up to R21,000 + 300 Bonus Spins” across the first five deposits. The first deposit gets a 100% match up to R5,000 plus 100 bonus spins, the second 50% up to R5,000, the third 100% up to R3,000 plus 100 bonus spins, the fourth 50% up to R5,000 and the fifth 100% up to R3,000 plus 100 bonus spins. It is for new customers only, the five deposits must be made within 30 days of registration, and the first deposit needs at least R50.

Wagering is 40x the bonus amount, on games only. The deposit and the bonus sit together in a locked balance, and a player can forfeit the bonus and keep the remaining deposit, which is a point in the package’s favour. Each bonus stays active for only 7 days and then expires, so a 100% match of R5,000 would need R200,000 of qualifying play inside a week, and a bonus is cancelled automatically when the active balance falls to R0.05 or below. The maximum bet while wagering is R100, and a breach can cost the bonus and the winnings. Only one bonus can be active at a time and deposit bonuses cannot be combined.

The bonus spins are released in batches: 20 a day over five days, with the first 20 credited instantly and each batch needing to be activated. Each spin is valued at R1.203, and spin winnings go to the bonus balance with the same 40x wagering. Winnings from deposit bonuses and bonus spins are capped at R100,000, and the cap is applied retrospectively rather than automatically.

Not every game counts the same. The welcome terms say eligible slots count 100%, roulette 25%, card games 10%, poker 5%, casual games 5%, crash games 5% and anything else 0%. The general bonus terms give a different list: slots 100%, roulette 25%, blackjack 10%, game shows 10%, baccarat 0% and other games 0%. The general terms say every games bonus also has its own individual terms, so we read the welcome list as the one that governs the welcome package, but players should not have to guess. Ineligible slots are meant to be listed in the general terms, and the heading for that list was on the page without any games under it when we read it.

The terms also set out many play styles that Mzansibet treats as bonus abuse and that can lead to winnings being cancelled: switching between games with different contribution rates, low risk betting systems, cutting the stake by more than 80% after a large win, betting on both outcomes, using double up features, consistently betting large amounts on high RTP games, seeking out bonus rounds, and betting patterns that look like system play. Several of these are hard for an ordinary player to judge, and Mzansibet may revoke bonuses, exclude customers and confiscate funds it believes were obtained dishonestly. Disputes go first to Mzansibet and then to the WCGRB, and the customer can also approach the WCGRB directly.

Beyond the welcome package, the promotions page lists weekly offers such as Amaspinspin Mondays, Trailblazing Tuesdays (an unlimited 50% deposit bonus), Woza Wednesdays, Tri-Choice Thursdays, Ayeye Fridays, Strike It Saturdays, Supa Spinna Sundays and a Weekly Slots Cashback of up to R1,000, plus a Monthly Moolah 100% bonus up to R1,700 and prize drops. We did not read the terms of each. The general terms give 40x wagering to any deposit bonus and to bonus spin winnings unless an offer says otherwise. Hellopeter reviewers complain about confusing bonus terms, which fits the number of conditions above.

Mzansibet receives 6.0/10 for Bonus Fairness & Wagering Terms. A large, clearly itemised package, the right to forfeit the bonus and keep the deposit, the right to cancel a bonus without loss of funds and a fair contribution of 100% for slots are positives. The 40x wagering inside a 7 day window, the R100 maximum bet, the R100,000 winnings cap, the conflicting contribution lists, the long abuse clause and the broad right to revoke bonuses keep it in Fair. We did not claim or test the bonus.

7

What Games and Providers Does Mzansibet Casino Offer?

7.0 / 10
In short: Slots, live games and Aviator from 11 providers, led by Evolution and Pragmatic Play, with Buy Feature and Drops & Wins sections, tournaments and a loyalty club. We could not obtain a total game count and opened the rules screen of one slot only, which showed a theoretical RTP of 94.52%.

The games lobby has a left menu with Discover, Slots, Aviator, Live Games, All Games, Promotions, Tournaments and the Royal Safari Club, and a second menu for live games with Discover, Roulette, Blackjack, Game Shows & Other, Baccarat and All Games. The slots page shows Top Games, New, Hot, Buy Feature, Recommended and Drops & Wins rows, a game search and a Providers dropdown. We could not get a total game count from the lobby, so we do not quote one.

The Providers list has 11 studios: BetGames, Endorphina, Evolution, Ezugi, Habanero, NetEnt, Nolimit, Pragmatic Play, Pragmatic Play Pop, Red Tiger Gaming and Spribe. Slots we saw in the lobby include Gates of Olympus 1000, Sweet Bonanza 1000, Sugar Rush 1000, Big Bass Vegas 1000, Starlight Princess Super Scatter, The Dog House Megaways, 5 Lions Megaways 2, Wealth Inn, Floating Dragon and Joker Stoker. That is a good set of popular, South African friendly titles, but 11 providers is a focused catalogue, and the weight sits on Pragmatic Play and Evolution.

The live casino is the strongest part. The live lobby has tabs for Roulette, Blackjack, Game Shows & Other and Baccarat and lists many Evolution tables and shows, including Crazy Time, Lightning Roulette, XXXtreme Lightning Roulette, Immersive Roulette, Speed Roulette, Infinite Blackjack, Lightning Blackjack, Football Studio, Monopoly Big Baller, Ice Fishing and Stock Market, along with Ezugi tables. The tournaments page features a R5,000 Multiplier Mayhem tournament on selected Evolution game shows.

Aviator has its own page and is played on Spribe’s crash game. Mzansibet says Aviator has a 97% RTP, that rounds use a provably fair algorithm, and that the minimum bet is R1 and the maximum R2,000, and its page mentions a demo mode. These are Mzansibet’s descriptions and we did not test them. The page also warns players not to follow strangers in the in game chat who offer paid tips.

On fairness, Mzansibet’s FAQ says its casino software is certified by iTech Labs, that the random number generators meet industry requirements and that payouts across games are standard for the industry at between 95% and 98%. It also says the lowest bet is generally R0.10 on selected games. The in game rules screen does show RTP: for the one slot we opened, a medium volatility title with Ante Bet and Buy Free Spins options, it states a theoretical RTP of 94.52% (94.51% and 94.54% for the buy options), with a minimum bet of R0.40 and a maximum of R675. That is below the 95% to 98% range in the FAQ, so the FAQ range should not be read as a promise for every game. We did not check certificates or other games, and RTP can differ by game and by operator configuration.

The Royal Safari Club is Mzansibet’s loyalty scheme, with eight levels from Zebra to Lion. Players earn 1 point per R100 wagered on slots, 1 per R600 on roulette and 1 per R1,000 on blackjack and baccarat, and 200 points convert to a R20 bonus at the lowest level, which works out at about R20 back for R20,000 of slot play. Higher levels bring better rates and level rewards of bonus spins and bonus cash that carry 40x wagering, and 20x at Elephant level. We did not test earning or converting points.

Mzansibet receives 7.0/10 for Product Quality. A deep live casino, well known slot studios, a Buy Feature section, a dedicated Aviator page, tournaments and a loyalty scheme make this a Good score. It stays at 7.0 because the provider list is limited to 11, we could not verify a game count, we checked the rules screen of only one slot, and the fairness and RTP claims were not independently verified.

Can You Play Mzansibet Casino on Mobile?

6.0 / 10
In short: Mzansibet Casino is available on a phone only through the mobile browser, because the casino is not offered in an app. Mzansibet’s FAQ says the games are mobile friendly, but we did not test them on a phone, which keeps this at Fair.

Mzansibet’s FAQ says its casino games are mobile friendly and can be launched by opening Mzansibet on a mobile device. We found no app that includes the casino, so playing on a phone means using the mobile browser. The games run on a separate games address, games.mzansibet.com, and we did not test how the lobby, the cashier and sign in behave across the two sites on a small screen. Our sportsbook review covers the Android app that Mzansibet offers on Google Play.

We viewed the casino lobby on desktop and did not test slots, live tables, Aviator or the cashier in a phone browser. Mzansibet’s FAQ notes that game speed depends on the player’s internet connection and recommends closing other applications.

A browser only casino has real advantages: nothing to install, no store listing to check and the same account on every device. It also means players depend on their mobile connection and browser for live tables and crash games, and we cannot say how well those run on a phone.

Mzansibet receives 6.0/10 for Mobile Experience. A mobile friendly site is promised and the casino needs no installation, but there is no casino app and we did not test the casino in a phone browser. We hold the score at 6.0 because of that missing evidence, half a point below our sportsbook score, and will revisit it after a hands on phone test.

How Good Is Mzansibet Casino Customer Support?

6.5 / 10
In short: Live chat connected us to a named human agent within about a minute, and the agent rechecked the terms when challenged. Several answers were vague or conflicted with Mzansibet’s own documents, and the agent gave support hours of 7am to 1am, not the 24/7 the Support page states. We did not ask a casino game question and have not tested the phone line or email.

The Support page lists email at support@mzansibet.com, a telephone line on 021 891 0477 for urgent matters and a Chat Now option, and says support is available 24/7. The help centre on the games site also has a detailed FAQ covering registration, FICA, deposits, withdrawals, casino games and bonuses.

We tested live chat on a Saturday afternoon, 10 October 2026. After a short automated menu and the option to speak to an agent, a named agent connected within about a minute, and the widget quoted a usual reply time of under 2 minutes. Over roughly 40 minutes we asked seven questions. Simple questions were answered within a few minutes. The question about a fee on withdrawing unwagered deposits took about half an hour: the agent first said they would double check, then said a charge could apply, then said the terms contained no explicit 5% to R90 charge and asked for a link, said our screenshot did not appear to be from the Mzansibet site, and finally confirmed after we sent the terms link that the clause is in the terms.

The content of the answers was mixed. The app question was answered with only “go to the play store”, which did not address iPhone or the mobile website. The withdrawal answer, up to 1 day, differs from the FAQ (1 to 3 business days) and the terms (up to 5 or 7). The licence question was answered by quoting the number from the terms without explaining the footer number. The agent gave support hours of 7am to 1am daily, which matches an independent review and contradicts the 24/7 claim. We asked no question about casino games, bonus wagering or game rules, so we cannot say how well support handles casino specific problems.

An independent review published in 2026 reported that the phone line reached an agent in under a minute and that email did not get a reply during its test. On Hellopeter, reviewers describe the support team as unhelpful and rude when a player made a mistake with a bonus, and one reviewer says a withdrawal was cancelled without notice and only after a second query. Mzansibet does not appear to reply to reviews on either platform.

Mzansibet receives 6.5/10 for Customer Support. A human agent within about a minute, a polite and responsive recheck of the terms, multiple channels and a well organised help centre are positives. Vague or conflicting answers, hours shorter than the 24/7 claim, one long exchange and untested phone and email channels keep it in Fair, and a single chat session is a limited sample. Sportsbook and casino share one support team, so this score matches our sportsbook review.

What Responsible Gambling Tools Does Mzansibet Casino Offer?

7.5 / 10
In short: The account’s Responsible Gambling page offers deposit, loss and wager limits, casino session limits, cooling off periods and self-exclusion, and the loss limit wording explicitly covers the casino. We did not set any, so the controls are untested, and the exclusion options differ between Mzansibet’s pages.

Inside the account, the Responsible Gambling page shows three limit cards, Deposit limits, Loss limits and Wager limits, each with an Add new button. The loss limit form offers daily, weekly or monthly periods and explains that a reduction takes effect immediately, an increase needs 24 hours, cancelling a loss limit takes 24 hours and an email is sent once a limit is exceeded. The games site’s responsible gaming page says increases only take effect after email confirmation and once the previous limit period of the same type has fully expired, which is a sensible protection against impulsive changes.

One rule is worth knowing: the loss limit is based on the initial deposit, not on winnings. Mzansibet’s own example is a R50 deposit with a R10 loss limit followed by a R1,000 win, after which the player can still lose more than R10 of the R1,000 balance. The PDF copy of the terms describes the loss limit as a limit on losses “in the casino”, and the cooling off terms say the player cannot deposit to the casino, so for casino players the coverage is clearer than it is for sports bettors.

Session limits are set separately for Casino and Sportsbook, in minutes, take effect instantly and log the player out when the limit is reached. The games site gives a range from 6 up to 1,000,000 minutes. Cooling off periods temporarily disable play and promotional offers, and the account reopens automatically at the end with a confirmation email. The games site lists periods of 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 1 month and 3, 6 and 9 months or 1 year, while the dropdown in our screenshot showed 1 day to 3 months. The self-exclusion dropdown in our screenshot offered 6 months and 1 year and takes effect instantly. The games site says self-exclusion is for 6 to 12 months or indefinitely, and the PDF terms list 1, 3, 6 and 9 months, 1 year or indefinite, so the options differ between sources. During self-exclusion the player cannot log in or receive promotions, and a fixed self-exclusion ends with a closed account that must be reactivated on request, with a recommendation to complete the National Responsible Gambling Self-Check first.

The help page gives the National Responsible Gambling Programme helpline, 0800 006 008, and its SMS and WhatsApp line, 076 675 0710, links to the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation, and has an underage gambling section that recommends filter software. We did not see a reality check or a net loss display, and nothing says whether self-exclusion reaches other operators.

Mzansibet receives 7.5/10 for Responsible Gambling Tools. The range of limits, separate casino session limits, a loss limit that explicitly covers the casino, in account controls and national helpline details make this a Good score. It is held at the evidence ceiling because we did not set or trigger any limit, no reality check was seen and the exclusion options differ between pages. Sportsbook and casino share one account and one set of tools, so this score matches our sportsbook review.

Mzansibet Casino FAQ: Licence, Bonus, Withdrawals, Games and Support

Is Mzansibet Casino legit and safe in South Africa?
Yes. Mzansibet is operated by SMS2Bet Betting Services (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2009/007749/07, which holds a Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board bookmaker licence, and its casino runs on the same account as the sportsbook. The site footer and the National Gambling Board’s Verified Operators portal both show licence number 10144175-017, while the terms quote different numbers in two versions we saw, and no document spells out casino coverage. The review gives Licensing & Legal Transparency a score of 8.0/10. Safety & Security scores 7.5/10: the account offers authenticator app two factor authentication, identity documents are required and deposits must be in the player’s own name. Reputation is divided, with 4.6 out of 5 on Trustpilot and a TrustIndex of 2 out of 10 on Hellopeter.
What is the Mzansibet Casino welcome bonus?
The casino welcome package is advertised as up to R21,000 plus 300 bonus spins over five deposits: 100% up to R5,000 plus 100 bonus spins on the first, 50% up to R5,000 on the second, 100% up to R3,000 plus 100 bonus spins on the third, 50% up to R5,000 on the fourth and 100% up to R3,000 plus 100 bonus spins on the fifth. It is for new customers, the five deposits must be made within 30 days of registration and the first deposit needs at least R50. The bonus carries 40x wagering, is valid for 7 days, has a R100 maximum bet while wagering and caps winnings from deposit bonuses and bonus spins at R100,000. BettingGuru SA has not claimed it.
What are the wagering requirements and which games count?
The welcome bonus has a wagering requirement of 40x the bonus, on games only, and winnings from bonus spins carry the same 40x. The welcome terms say eligible slots count 100%, roulette 25%, card games 10%, poker 5%, casual games 5%, crash games 5% and other games 0%. The general bonus terms give a different list, with blackjack 10%, game shows 10% and baccarat 0%, so check the individual bonus terms before playing. You can forfeit the bonus and keep the remaining deposit, but asking to withdraw the deposit before meeting the wagering voids the bonus and its winnings.
How long do Mzansibet Casino withdrawals take?
Mzansibet’s documents give three different answers: the FAQ says 1 to 3 business days, a PDF copy of the terms says up to 5 and the online terms say up to 7, while a live chat agent told us the maximum is 1 day. The account lists seven withdrawal methods with minimums of R100 or R300, and the Capitec Pay form shows a maximum of R1,000,000. Mzansibet charges no withdrawal fee of its own, but the terms allow a charge of 5% (up to R90) when a deposit has not been fully wagered, which a support agent confirmed is in the terms. Cash deposits must be turned over once first. BettingGuru SA has not yet tested a withdrawal, and Hellopeter has recent complaints about delayed or cancelled withdrawals.
What is the minimum deposit and withdrawal at Mzansibet Casino?
In the account cashier the minimum deposit is R10 for easypay, R20 for OTT voucher, BluVoucher and 1Voucher, and R50 for Capitec Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, cards, Ozow and EFT. The casino welcome package needs at least R50 on the first deposit. The minimum withdrawal is R100 on Capitec Pay, Ozow and EFT, and R300 on OTT voucher and two other methods, with a maximum of R1,000,000 shown for Capitec Pay.
Which game providers does Mzansibet Casino have?
The provider list shows 11 studios: BetGames, Endorphina, Evolution, Ezugi, Habanero, NetEnt, Nolimit, Pragmatic Play, Pragmatic Play Pop, Red Tiger Gaming and Spribe. Evolution supplies most of the live casino, including Crazy Time, Lightning Roulette and Monopoly Big Baller, and Pragmatic Play supplies popular slots such as Gates of Olympus 1000 and Sweet Bonanza 1000. We could not obtain a total game count from the lobby.
Can I play Aviator at Mzansibet Casino?
Yes. Aviator has its own page and menu entry on the games site. Mzansibet says it has a 97% RTP, uses a provably fair algorithm, allows bets from R1 to R2,000 and offers a demo mode, but BettingGuru SA has not tested these claims. Under the welcome terms, crash games count only 5% towards wagering, so Aviator is a poor way to clear a bonus.
What is the Royal Safari Club at Mzansibet?
It is Mzansibet’s loyalty scheme, with eight levels from Zebra to Lion. Players earn 1 point per R100 wagered on slots, 1 per R600 on roulette and 1 per R1,000 on blackjack and baccarat, and 200 points convert to a R20 bonus at the lowest level, which is about R20 back for R20,000 of slot play. Level rewards of bonus spins or bonus cash carry 40x wagering, and 20x at Elephant level.
What responsible gambling limits does Mzansibet offer for casino play?
The account offers deposit, loss and wager limits for a day, week or month, separate session limits for casino and sportsbook from 6 minutes upwards, cooling off periods and self-exclusion of 6 months or 1 year, with indefinite exclusion requested through support. A lower limit applies immediately, while an increase takes 24 hours or needs email confirmation. The loss limit is based on the initial deposit, not on winnings, and the terms describe it as a limit on losses in the casino. The National Responsible Gambling Programme helpline is 0800 006 008.
Is there a Mzansibet Casino app, and how do I contact support?
The casino is available on a phone only through the mobile browser, because Mzansibet does not offer it in an app. The FAQ says the casino games are mobile friendly, but BettingGuru SA has not tested them on a phone. For support, Mzansibet lists email at support@mzansibet.com, a phone line on 021 891 0477 and live chat, and the Support page says support is available 24/7. A live chat agent told us hours are 7am to 1am daily. In our chat test a human agent connected within about a minute, although some answers were vague or conflicted with the documents.
